Fiddy-five. Again. Thanks to all 55 of you who played last in The Mookie last night. Back to back weeks with the same number of peeps. So far the Neteller fallout hasn’t affected the blogger turnout. It’ll be interesting to see if that changes.
The talented Kat and Joanne volunteered to handle the live blogging duties last night. Joanne ran into some connectivity issues, so Kat agreed to tackle things solo. She did a great job last night and I’m looking forward to the next time when she can team up with Joanne. Thanks again Kat !
I actually made it past the first break since I caught a few cards, made a few moves, and tried not to shoot myself in the foot. After the break I didn’t make the necessary adjustments and slowly lost chips as the blinds escalated. I ended up jamming my stack in with AQ only to run into AK. Doh !
Congrats to those who made the final table and to the seven who found their way to the cash. When the bubble burst, NumbBono held the chiplead staying very active knocking out the last five players. He held a substantial chip lead heads up against photojenn and within a few hands he took down his first Mookie title. Congratulations !
I’m not quite sure what NumbBono means or signifies but I’m assuming it has something to do with Bono and U2. That question
will be answered along with a few others when I post his profile later this week.
Stud Hi/Lo was the flavor for the 2nd Chance tournament last night. Turbo of course. The damn thing still lasted way longer than The Mookie. I was one of the many few who don’t have a clue about how to really play this game. My strategy consisted of either folding or raise, raise, raise and seemed to work OK until I went out in 10th. The stakes got ridiculously high and became a lottery event for the most part towards the end.
Congrats to those who cashed…Waffles, bdidde and to xkm1245 for taking 1st.
It’s always nice playing something different than NLHE, so we’ll continue to mix things up in the 2nd Chance tournaments. I’m thinking we’ll do PLO8 next week.
