Will he be stopped ?
That is the question leading up to The Mookie tournament tonight on Pokerstars. Surflexus is the back to back defending champ and he is looking to become the first 3-peat champion. Kat is the only other back to back winner and came close in her bid to get 3 straight (making the final table in the 3rd). Surf has continued to play well and money in nearly every MTT he plays so he has a real shot to win tonight, yet again.
If you are free tonight, please come out and join us as it is always a lot of fun. Our ultimate goal is to one day get at least 46 players, the current record is 42. This tournament is probably as close as you can get to a home game with lots of trash talk and witty banter. As always I will have a bounty on myself and will be live blogging the tournament here.

The Bet
As I mentioned in the previous post, I have a bet with Mrs. Mookie, so here it is… I haven’t won a tournament (online or live) since March 25th at the Big O and I told her a month or so back that maybe I wouldn’t cut my hair until I won another tournament. Now I am a two guard on the sides and back type of guy when it comes to haircuts. I mean I never even had a mullet back in the day when it was cool. I figured that this would help me focus better and give me motivation when I played in MTTs.
Since she knows how I am about my hair, she bet me that there is no way I will follow through with this. She also knows what a donkey I am and realizes that it could months, even years before I win another tournament. She thinks I will cave in and go get my hair cut.
So now we have a $100 bet. I can’t cut my hair until I win a live tourney or an online tournament that has at least 3 tables of players and at least a $10 buyin. My hair is starting to get long and I have already started getting comments from friends, family and co-workers. I really need to get lucky, lucky, lucky soon or else I will be looking like JoeSpeaker circa 1991. I have some pictures that I may post later, don’t worry you won’t have to look at my mug, I will be sure to Photoshop them first.
