Wow, what a change of events in the last few days. One day you are sitting on your couch in your drawers playing poker on multiple sites, the next day some of those sites are cutting their losses and heading for the hills. A ton of people are covering the latest fallout from the Port Security Act and the online gaming legislation that Frist was successful in getting attached to the bill. At first glance it looks like there will be 9 months before the thing would take effect, but it looks like Party is going to ban US players as soon the President signs off and I’m sure many others will follow suit. If you login to Neteller today you’ll find a new Terms of Use that they want you to accept. It’s crazy how fast things are moving now.
So the question is What Now ? What are you going to do ? Pull your money out now ? (and if so, can you still get it easily through Neteller ?) Some other things that crossed my mind were touched on by CC this morning…how will this affect the WSOP field next year and what happens to all those 18-20somethings who dropped out or never started college ? “Would you like fries with that ?” or “Mom, Dad I’m moving to Thailand”.
Remember the recent…Poker Blogs are Dying…conversations over the last few weeks, this latest news will no doubt cause many poker blogs to dry up after the dust settles.

We played a tourney on Friday night at Rocco’s place. He has a nice write up about the tournament which included me getting knocked out, as usual, away from the money while Mrs. Mookie was the unfortunate bubble. We still had a great time.
On Saturday we were without a couple of our starters, but still managed to come away with a win in the soccer game to go 3-0 on the season.
As expected my fantasy football team is getting beat by Don’s. My only hope is that Westbrook will put up similar numbers tonight like he did last week.
It looks like I may be headed to Vegas November 5-9 for a conference. My boss is supposed to let me know today or tomorrow for sure. The way things are going I’ll get approved but the conference will be sold out.
Ok, enough doom and gloom for now…
