Q: Do you have any pre-poker rituals?
PL: I usually queue up a set of five favourite songs to listen to on my iPod or home stereo to get me in a good frame of mind.
Q: Do you have a special place, room, or setup that you prefer to play online? Describe?
PL: My home study is where I play and it is fairly standard: desk, computer chair, fair-sized LCD monitor. I’ve been meaning to purchase a second monitor for a while now.
Q: What variation of poker do you consider to be your strongest game?
PL: Stud 8.
Q: What variation of poker do you feel needs more work?
PL: All of them, but particularly triple draw.
Q: Why do YOU play The Mookie?
PL: Because it’s very, very fun. And Schaubs picked me in his prop bet, so I have to hold up my end.
Q: Are you a winning player and if so how long did it take you to become a winning player?
PL: I am a winning player but my live results have outstripped my online results by a fair margin. It took me the better part of a year before I was comfortably in the black for good.
Q: What bankroll standards have you setup for yourself?
PL: I’m quite aggressive with my online BR and I take shots at any juicy games I find. Live, I use a 20 buy-in rule.
Q: Cash or MTT?
PL: Cash.
Q: What was your worst reaction to a bad beat?
PL: I stormed out of a poker room to pace and swear for five minutes before coming back in (to be fair, this was a combo bad beat and slowroll).
Q: Avatar… what is it, and why?
PL: Julius Goat kindly made up a custom one for me with a skull (pirate) and crossed gavels (lawyer).
