Q: Do you have any pre-poker rituals?

BM: Not really, I just try to log in early enough to get any updates.  Then I will set up my music choice or BDR and turn on Yahoo IM.

Q: Do you have a special place, room, or setup that you prefer to play online? Describe?

BM: We just have one computer and it’s in the bonus room.  Describe?  It just a casual room over the garage with an elliptical and big screen TV.

Q: What variation of poker do you consider to be your strongest game?

BM: Unless I’m at the Pokercat Arena, I only play NLHE.

Q: What variation of poker do you feel needs more work?

BM: I’m mildly experienced with NLHE, so I’m still working at it.

Q: Why do YOU play The Mookie?

BM: It was a great transition from the old Wheaties game and I liked your live blogging like Cmitch did with Wil’s game.  I really enjoy most of the players that are still around and BDR keeps it entertaining.  You made this tournament the success that it is with your dedication to it and keeping us entertained with your blog.

Q: Are you a winning player and if so how long did it take you to become a winning player?

BM: Online, I am still rolling on my initial $50 deposit about 3 years ago on Poker Stars.  It has funded all of the action on the other sites.  In neighborhood live play, I am also ahead.  As for casino play, I am terribly behind.

Q: What bankroll standards have you setup for yourself?

BM: For online play, I’m trying to never deposit again unless it is withdrawn from another site with a higher balance.  I stick with the $10 blogger tournaments, sub $10 SNGs and I don’t play cash online higher than .10/.20.  When the funds get low, I just win a blogger MTT and then I’m OK again.  For live play I try to limit my losses to $200 a day.

Q: Cash or MTT?

BM: I was only MTT and 1 table SNG, but I am experimenting with cash online.  In casinos, I am more likely to play cash with an occasional tournament.

Q: What was your worst reaction to a bad beat?

BM: Just a few F bombs.  I don’t play at the levels that warrants destroying stuff.  When it happens in a casino, I usually just sit there quietly unless I get knocked out then it usually utter a soft GD.

Q: Do you believe ‘Trash Talking’ is a legitimate strategy to be used while playing poker and why?

BM: I think anything that can throw your opponent off is a good strategy as long as you can capitalize on it.  For some people it’s not a strategy, the’re just being a dick.

Q: How do you like your eggs? (Submitted by NumbBono)

BM: I like them fried with the white part cooked thoroughly but the yolk runny.  It goes great on my cheese grits.
