Turbo FAIL
Well that sucked a little huh? My experiment in trying to get The Mookie to end a little sooner than usual was not a success. Last week we had 45 players and the tourney didn’t end until nearly 1AM CT. This week we had 45 players again with the usual 3,000 stacks but only 5 minute blinds instead of 10. There was no second break since the tournament ended at 10:52PM CT. It was way too fast in my opinion.
I was out early when I ran TT into AA, 33/45. It didn’t take too long for the final table to be formed:

Congratulations to MiamiDon on winning his 4th Mookie title. LGkiev finished 2nd two weeks in a row. Very impressive runs but I know how bad it feels to take 2nd place. Thanks to everyone who made it out for the experiment last night. I’ll have one more next week with the format being regular NLHE (no turbo) and 2,000 starting chips instead of 3,000. We’ll see how that works. If it sucks, we’ll just stick with the usual format going forward.
