The Mookie…TONIGHT!

The MookieIt’s tough cleaning the cobwebs off your blog when you’ve neglected it for a few days. I had a couple vacation days still on the books for this year so I took some time off on Friday and Monday. Unfortunately our youngest came down with pneumonia and we’ve spent the last few days trying to get her recuperated in time for Christmas. The poor thing had to go into the doctor’s office the last couple of days to get shots in each of her legs. The antibiotics have worked tremendously but she had a hard time walking due to the pain from the shots.

The BBT2 “regular season” has come to end and congratulations to those who have qualified for the $18,000 Aussie Millions TOC. I was unable to snag a seat for myself but I did qualify for the $1,000 freeroll tomorrow night by finishing in the top 50 (29th) on the points list. I was only able to play in 12 of the 27 events but I’m proud that I final tabled 3 of them and finished cash positive (I think) for the series. If you wanna see who the early favorites are for taking down the Aussie Million’s package, check out VinNay and Chad’s blogs for the up to date odds.

It’s been said a million times already on various blogs, but Al is the freakin’ man. He put together one hell of a prize package and spent countless hours compiling points, updating leaderboards, emailing Full Tilt, etc. to keep this series humming along smoothly. It amazes me he was able to pull together the last minute freeroll for the final TOC seat in such a short time. I’m surprised Full Tilt hasn’t hired Al on full time to help out with their promotions department. Thanks again Al for hooking us all up with this great series and I’m looking forward to BBT3 in the future.

It’s Wednesday and even though the BBT2 is complete and there aren’t points and seats to fight for…The Mookie will still be on for tonight. I know many of you are probably looking for a break from blogger tourneys but I still have an unfinished goal on my 2007 list…Win a Mookie! There are only a couple more chances for me and tonight is one of them. So even though I would love to have another 90+ turnout, it won’t hurt my feelings at all to see just 30 or 40 either :)

Since Hoy has never won a Mookie either, I’m thinking of putting together some kind of prop bet next year for us if either fails to win one of the last two Mookie’s. Of course it can’t be an even money prop since I’m just a lowly weak-tight blonkey. So what do you say Hoy? These last couple of sentences will probably guarantee a Hoy win tonight since that’s the way I usually run.

I’m thinking of changing a few things for the next year of Mookie/Dookie tournaments and I’ve already implemented a couple. No more ghey little phrases after The Mookie title, from now on it’s just The Mookie. This will allow me to schedule the tournaments much easier with Full Tilt. For The Dookie we’ll have a set rotation of games including pretty much any game Full Tilt offers except full ring NLHE. There may be one or two more changes down the line but that’s it for now.

Tonight the fun begins at 10:00PM CT and emptyman is the defending champ. BuddyDank and IT will be broadcasting live on BuddyDank Radio. The show is awesome so if you’ve never tuned in before give it a try tonight. It helps ease the pain from the junk kickin’ you’ll probably experience in The Mookie.

The first game in the new Dookie rotation will be good ol’ fashioned Limit Hold ‘Em, in Turbo mode of course. Things will kick off at 10:30PM CT and both tournaments have the same password…vegas1.

The Easiest Bounty in Poker is up for grabs, knock me out and get yourself a banner for your blog. If you already have a banner or you think my banners are ugly…kiss my ass…nah, just kiddin’…I’ll try to dig up something else. I’ll also try to do a little live-blogging on here during the tournament so come join us and check back here for updates.

Good luck tonight!
