This week is flying by and I’ve been staying busy after a lazy weekend.  I was able to go see my daughter’s freshman basketball game on Friday night and felt pretty good when the gatekeeper thought I was a student.  The lighting must have been pretty bad since they didn’t notice the army of gray hair invading my dome.  My daughter’s team lost but we stuck around and watched the varsity pick up a tough district win.  I’m starting to get the basketball bug after watching some of my daughter’s games and catching a few college games as well.  It reminds me of when I used to coach varsity girl’s basketball back in the day and I catch myself muttering  “box out, jump to the rope, don’t open up, etc.”  I’ve forgotten how fun and exciting  it was to coach.

The rest of my weekend was spent with the family and I managed to get plenty of rest and relaxation.  My days consisted of staying up till 2 or 3AM and then sleeping into 11:30AM the next day.  That’s the life, especially when your kiddos let you sleep that late.  I didn’t play any online poker but I did update my site with a new Wordpress theme.  If you’re reading this through an RSS reader, please click through and let me know what you think.

I’m looking forward to some poker tonight at The Mookie on Full Tilt.  Last week Lucko took down his 4th Mookie title and helped Team Schaubs to an early lead in their challenge.  I’m trying to gather more questions for Lucko’s profile and hope to have it posted later this week.

One thing I haven’t posted yet is my goals for 2009 and after only hitting 2 out of 9 last year, I think I need to aim lower.  One of my goals will be to NOT win The Mookie this year. Something tells me the poker gods are immune to reverse psychology but it’s worth the try.

I hope to see everyone at The Mookie tonight and don’t forget to tune into BuddyDank Radio while you play.  Fabio Buddy took an early lead in the BW category on the leaderboard last week.
