It’s Wednesday and Helga says to sign up for The Mookie tonight. She’s tired of Al exploiting her likeness to pimp this here tournament, lovely Helga just wants to get back to her brats and beer. The goal is 80 and last week we were a little short with 58 players. If you are free tonight come out and join us for the fun and to get your weekly junk kickin’.

The defending champ, worldpoker05, won’t be joining us this, evidently he took his winnings from last week and headed straight to Vegas. I’ve put up a bounty on myself for tonight…knock me out and I’ll place a $10 bet for you while I’m in Vegas in November. To claim the bounty just leave a comment on this post. (I’ll be in Vegas November 5-9)

We will once again have a 2nd Chance tournament that will start at 10:30 PM CT (an hour and a half after the main tourney starts). Right now the tourney will be the same format as usual…$5 NL Turbo. I’ve emailed Full Tilt support asking if we can change it to a $5 or $6 token tournament, which can then be used to win a $75 token for Don’s Big Game. We’ll see if they can hook us up.

8:35 PM CT … About 25 minutes till tip off and we have a shade over 40 signed up so far. We’re gonna need a huge late rush to reach our goal of 80 or else Helga’s friends and brothers show up on Al’s blog next week.

8:45 … Full Tilt support wasn’t able to change the 2nd Chance tourney in time so tonight the format will be the same as usual. Maybe next week we can setup the token tourney.

9:00 … And we’re off ! 60 strong tonight…getting better.

9:03 … Our first casualty…Fuel55 pushes preflop with The Hammer and lifesagrind calls and sucks out with AA.

9:13 … I have columbo, love_elf, surflexus, huntsvegas, Maudie, madbrooklyn and on_thg at my table. As usual I’ve already donked off nearly half of my stack. I think from now on I’m gonna pull a Hellmuth and not start playing till the first break.

9:20 … tiltpirate2006 is out and we are down to 59 players with 7 spots paying tonight…$210 to 1st.

9:22 … That giant sucking sound you hear is Jordan’s TT outflopping slb’s JJ. slb’s Mookie cash streak ends tonight. yancpants has been eliminated.

9:25 … No wonder I suck at poker…I missed a knockout hand at my own table. love_elf’s 55 falls to Maudie’s KQ. Maudie has gone from the shortstack to one of the early chipleaders. on_thg’s JJ holds up against surflexus’s AQ and another player is out.

9:29 … We are down to 6 tables and lightning36 is out in 54th.

9:33 … Race time…TexasKaty has AK against columbo’s TT… A Ten on the flop seals the deal and we’ve lost another. Meanwhile the multi-talented Al, sang karoake while folding. Mad skills. Next time he’s gonna sing, fold, and do a shot.

9:36 … Katitude is out and 7 the hard way runs into GCox’s AA and the action stays crazy. Maudie follows these players to the rail in 50th.

9:38 … They are falling too fast…FishyMcDonk was knocked out by the fake Hammer wielded by huntsvegas. Things aren’t looking good for the hometeam…I’m sucking on fumes with 790.

9:40 … Waffles TT holds up against ski’s AQ and we have 47 left. UpForPoker and Prophesy are out and we are down to 5 tables.

9:45 … Waffles is rolling..Rockets usually help and this time they held up against presidentdave’s TT. The Waff is up to 6,000. 44 left and I’m in 43rd…lovely. BrainMc is out so now I’m 43/43. madbrooklyn is finished…42/42.

9:52 … pokerpeaker hits the rail in 42nd and we are closing in on the first break. One of the MTT Masters, Iak, has left in 41st, followed by SPECIALK.

9:58 … I shoved my crumbs in with KT…Waffles called with KT…but Astin had JJ and almost tripled up and knocked me out winning the $10 Vegas bet. jeciimd followed me out in 38th. hoyazo has AJ and Al AQ…Al’s hand holds up and Hoy is done in 37th followed by Marxst1.
