It seems like it’s been longer than a week but The Mookie is back from hiatus tonight. Bdidde won the last tourney of 2006 and will be defending his title. An hour and a half later the 2nd Chance tourney will start and this week the format is 6-max NLHE (Turbo).

I haven’t been able to play much poker over the last month so I’m really looking forward to tonight’s events and chatting with everyone.

6:45 … Almost time to punch the clock and head home to prepare for tonight’s festivities. I just finished watching Poker After Dark which was interesting since there isn’t much commentating and mostly table talk from the players. I think I’ll start reading the latest issue of Truckin’ which was released today.

8:30 … 30 minutes till tipoff…I’ve had my pre-game meal of tasty pizza and beer and I’m ready to donk. 23 peeps signed up so far, come join us.

9:03 … My first pocket pair of the new year…JJ, pocket death…raise and two…AQx flop and I lose with my pair.

9:09 … Dirty hand alert …. 3 way all-in on a Ten high flop with jeciimd(TT), Acornman(AA) and KrazyBangs (JJ)…Jack on the river and Krazy triples up while knocking out jeciimd.

9:13 … Acornman is all in with AQ but runs into Iak’s (welcome back man !) KK. Brokeback is good and Acorn is out.

9:17 … Succcccccccckkkkkkkkkk out….All in preflop – Waffles QJ, heffmike TT and gap86 KK…QJ flop and another Jack on the turn. heffmike finishes in 42nd.

9:22 … I missed the hand but Budo is left with just 1 chip. Miraculous comeback ? gap86 is the next player to hit the rail and no miracles for Budo and we are left with 39.

9:26 … Woo hoo…finally won a nice pot. Up to 2350.

9:29 … Mondogarage hit a straight but dnasty’s flush was money and mondo is done.
