Swing And A Miss
Still no poker to report. I tried to play over the weekend and even signed up for a Stud Hi tourney on Full Tilt. It was a $2,000 guarantee and only a handful of people had signed up so I thought there would be a huge overlay. Only 19 people signed up at $26 a pop with the top 12 spots making the money. Even though I have no clue about Stud I figured I could fold my way to the money. Unfortunately I forgot about late registration. Doh! Over 90 people ended up playing and I quickly found myself on a short stack. Luckily for me Full Tilt crashed hard and I ended up netting a whopping 3 bucks and some change with the prize pool distribution.

I was supposed to hear something about the job interview on Friday but never got a call. On Monday I got the call and wasn’t surprised to hear I didn’t get the job. I was very shocked when I found out my coworker didn’t get the gig either. They are looking for an expert in 5 different fields and there aren’t many people (if any) out there who fit the bill. Eventually they’ll figure that out. The good news is I still have 6-9 months left here so I have time to find the right job for me. Unless the economy completely crashes. Then I’ll be planting gardens and tending to my farm critters while I stockpile weapons.

I’ve been planning to write about the Horns but since I’m good at jinxing my favorite teams (like the Cubs, Bears, etc.) I’ll hold off for now. Since I don’t care about the Phillies or Rays I’ll go ahead and predict the Phillies will win in 6 games.

Like many of you, my blog was toasted by Google a few months back and no matter what I’ve tried I haven’t had any luck getting things resolved. I’ve owned the domain mookie99.com for quite some time so I’m probably going to move everything there. Anything I should be afraid of? Please let me know if there are any tips or tricks. I’m currently using Wordpress and will continue to do so moving forward.

Tonight is The Mookie on Full Tilt at 9PM CT. RaisingCayne took down his first title last week and will be the defending champ. Full Tilt has made some changes when it comes to private tournaments.
Unfortunately at this time, we are unable to set up private tournaments with a $12+$1 buy-in as the minimum juice for private $10 buy-in tournaments is 10% of the tournament buy-in, apart from $24+$2 or $69+$6 buy-in tournaments, apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.
I never got this email until after they setup this week’s tournament and I complained. So tonight it’s going to be an $11 buy-in with $2 bounties. I’m not a big fan of that setup so going forward I may just drop the bounties and stick with the standard $10+1 tourney (still double stacked). Please let me know what you think.
Nevertheless I’m looking forward to playing both The Mookie and Dookie tonight while I listen in to BuddyDank Radio. As always everyone is welcome to play. Good luck!
I’ll have to whip up a new banner soon. Until then you’re stuck with this one…

Forget about the Bounties. They don’t speed up the play at all and only take money out of the top spots. And while you are at it, can’t we get it to be turbo or drop the double stacks. I need my beauty rest.
