Another fun night at The Mookie tourney last night.  We had a late rush of players and ended up with 35, another good turnout.   The theme of the night was to get in with the worse hand and suck out.  AA got cracked so many times.  As usual I donked off some chips and was down early.  Somehow I managed to keep scraping by with the crumbs and actually have AA hold up for me …. Twice !

I was able to get to the final table…first time in awhile.  One of the first few hands at the table, I got tangled in a hand with surflexus and lost a bunch of my chips.  The lovely Mrs. Mookie made another deep run and finished a couple spots out of the money.  In keeping with the theme of the night, I sucked out in a hand against Carmen and she went out on the bubble.   Even with that pot, I was still the shortstack and ended up shoving in my crumbs with KTo and surflexus had 22 and flopped a 2 and that was it for me.  Surflexus is this week’s winner of the bounty.
MiamiDon continues to play very well in this tourney (as well as the WWdN), he finished in 4th.  We are really looking forward to our Vegas trip in June and getting to meet Carmen and Don.

Down to 3 – jjok, surflexus and Ron with surflexus having a huge chiplead.  Ron was the next player eliminated, and due to all the Dos XX, I don’t remember the hand.  Heads up, surflexus had a 2-1 chiplead against jjok.  It was a great heads up match that went back and forth and lasted about 15 minutes.  In the end surflexus was able to pull out the victory.  Jjok is on a roll right now and playing great (and tried to knock me out 2 nights in a row !).  Congrats to surflexus on the win, early on he was down to 253 chips and managed to make a huge comeback.

Thanks again to everyone who came out to play.  It’s always alot of fun and really feels like a home game.  Next week it will be The Mookie – Surf’s Up Tournament.
