Sold!

I strolled into work today and found our company has been sold.  Well in a few months anyway.  Lots of stuff has to happen in the next 120 days or so before the deal is finalized.  Our company has about 300 employees while our purchaser has some 77,000.  Time will tell if this is a good or bad thing for me.  For now it’ll be added stress while I await my fate.

On the brighter side, in just 7 days we’ll be taking a much needed to trip to Las Vegas.  We are really looking forward to our stay at the lovely Bellagio.  I hope to stop by the Rio and check out some of the WSOP action sometime during our stay.  We’ll be out there June 24-27.

As I’ve mentioned in past posts, I’ve been waiting for two Full Tilt withdrawals to hit my bank account.  I made the withdrawals a week apart (one on May 8th and the other on May 15th) and I finally received one of them last week.  The screwed up thing is that the May 15th withdrawal was the one to hit my account first.  I’m STILL waiting on my money from May 8th.

I continue to receive form emails from Full Tilt support promising I’ll see my money some day.

We can assure you that your funds will be deposited into your bank very soon.

While we are still unable to provide an exact date you will see the
funds hit your account, please know that we are in constant contact with
our processor who assures us all transfers will be paid out.

So how can they assure me that my funds will show up “very soon” when they can’t provide a date?  Morons.

Random Stuff…

I doubted Tiger yesterday on Twitter and in the end looked foolish.  Rocco played his ass of though and nearly pulled off one of the biggest upsets ever.

Pauly continues to put out some awesome writing covering the 2008 WSOP.  Of course me pimping him is like telling everyone Tiger is good at golf.

I came across a way to watch some of the WSOP tourneys live.  Hat tip to Poker on TV.

Blogger tournament attendance continues to slide post BBT3.  The MATH had 6 players.  It looks the Skills Series is still running tonight (while the Bodonkey takes a breather).  Who’s running the Skills now?

Congrats to Iggy and LJ for winning main event seats.  Woo hoo!

  1. I can’t say this had anything to do with my absence, but I’m pretty sure MATH attendance (or lack thereof) had at least a bit to do with the recent draaaaama. At least as I read a few blogger comment that they would no longer play MATH because of it. I doubt Mookie attendance will drop much lower than in the first post BBT3 event. Heck, I’ll start showing up there now (but maybe not till next week…got a 3:30am wakeup call this Thursday, gack.

Have a GREAT trip in Vega$!

  2. I hope you have some equity, Mook. Immediate vesting rules!
Yeah, drama killed the MATH. Too bad. So sad. Oh well.

Have a blast in Vegas – I am totally jealous!

  3. I have been through the acquisition thing several times. It made me money twice, had no effect once, and never resulted in a job loss before I could find a better one. I hope your results are similar.

I would love to see you’ll when you are here.
