Reading Is FUNdamental, F Philip Rivers and Huggle Me
Awhile back I asked for some book recommendations and received a flurry of great suggestions. I randomly selected The Beach recommended by Jordan and Prey recommended by JL514. I enjoyed both books…after reading The Beach I rented the movie. As with a lot of books, Hollywood really jacked this story up. Book awesome. Movie sucked. I read Prey last night and couldn’t put it down until I was finished. Great book. Really tired today. Thanks again for the recommendations, I’m hoping to get some of the other books people suggested for Christmas.

I’m on Fantasy Football tilt today since I lost in the blogger league semifinal to a tiebreaker. Pauly has a list of athletes that have cost him a lot of money over the years and I think I’ll start the same. Philip Rivers you bastard. I had the choice of starting either Rivers or Eli Manning. I went with Rivers and after Manning stunk it up early scoring only 1 fantasy point I felt real good about my choice. That is until Rivers laid a big turd on Sunday night football. I blame smokkee…he and Tina were at the game and I think the 12 carat CZ diamond he bought her reflected off the stadium lights blinding Rivers. What else could explain his 97 yard 2INT performance (-3 fantasy points) ? So after all was said and done I was left in a tie, 66-66 and lost on the 2nd tie-breaker…”Most fantasy points scored by starting QB”. F Philip Rivers !

If you haven’t heard by now there’s a new sex scandal in the poker world involving Capt. Tom Franklin and Brandi Hawbaker. I first read about it on Iggy’s site and it’s everywhere now. There’s a huge thread on 2+2…crazy stuff. Huggle Me ! It’s not too late to order a t-shirt or hat for the holidays for that special someone in your life.

The Mookie tournaments have been posted on Full Tilt and rmbj494 aka Rufus is the defending champ. This will be the last Mookie tournament of the year since we’ll be taking a break next week and Al’s Riverchasers $5 HORSE tournament will fill the spot. We will also have the usual 2nd Chance tournament tomorrow and the game of choice will be PL Hold ‘Em (Turbo). I hope to see everyone there tomorrow night and for those I don’t…happy holidays.

Sorry for the late comment, but I just wanted to say that I’m very glad you liked the book. I said the same thing, too. The movie was TERRIBLE, and the book was AWESOME. To me it is one of the worst book-to-movie adaptations I’ve ever seen.
