Puff Puff, Give
Another BBT4 event is in the books. We had 83 players show up for The Mookie last night on Full Tilt. I was bounced around to a few different tables but here was my starting one:

As usual I bled off some chips and had a hard time trying to build a decent stack. Right before the first break I passed up an opportunity to get a big stack. In a limped pot I flopped a flush with T7c on a Kc Qc 6c flop and led out. Another player on a shorter stack jammed and then a big stack shoved over the top. After tanking and momentarily forgetting that I was playing The Mookie, I folded figuring my flush was no good. Seeing the hands of the other two players brought me back to reality, the shorty had 5c 4c for a flush while the big stack had KQ for two pairs. Doh!
We lost 21 players within the first hour and somehow I managed to make it to the first break. Here were the leaders:
During the second hour I managed to get some chips by winning a couple of bigger pots. I slid into the second break slightly below average with 26 players left.
My journey to the final table fell short during the next hour when I couldn’t get my KQc past Heffmike’s 33. I fizzled out in 16th place. JoeSpeaker was the unfortunate bubble boy taking 10th place and after his elimination the final table was set.

Congratulations to Smokkee for winning his second Mookie title while picking up a coveted TOC seat. He came to the final table as one of the short stacks but managed to find a way through the minefields for the big win. Thanks to everyone who made it out last night, see you next week.

Mookie, I have a question. I’ve played maybe 5 mookies, and really want to place in one. Good players to play against. Anyway, I play in a weekly home game on Wednesday’s and I mentioned “the mookie” at the table. They say I’m mispronouncing “mookie”. Is mookie pronounced like “cookie” or like a cow moos….moo-key. Thanks so much. Love the tourney and you’ll be posting my name as a winner in the near future. *fingers crossed*.
