Thanks to everyone who made it out to The Mookie last night. We had a terrific showing with 73 players…one of these days we’ll top that 80 mark.

Once again I was Lazy Mook and didn’t live-blog the tournament last night. It’s so much more fun to sit back with a brew, shoot the shit in the chat window and IM and relax.

The only downside to this is that there isn’t documentation of all the sick, nasty beats that occur. Holy cow there were some gross ones last night. Aces and Kings were routinely crushed and one hand I saw A7…The Tourist…go up against AJ…Pure Gold Baby…7 on the flop, 7 on the turn, 7 on the river…DQB!

Mattazuma was the defending champ and went very deep again but took one to the chin at the final table and couldn’t complete the repeat.

Your host made the final two tables again but couldn’t get Acey Deucey past platkat’s QQ in a battle of the blinds. No fair. Congrats to platkat on claiming the Easiest Bounty in Poker. One of these days I’m gonna be a contender…I’m gonna win. I’ve been getting too deep too often not to get lucky, lucky, lucky one time.

The bubble lasted forever and the suckouts were aplenty. Poor TripJax played great but got kicked in the junk when his set fell to a rivered flush and then later on his KK couldn’t find a way past A8. His unfortunate reward for these tough hands was the bubble.

Congrats to those who made the final table and finished in the money. The newlyweds-to-be…smokkee and love_elf both made the final table along with BrainMc, dbirider, bayne_s, platkat, lifesagrind, fluxer and Mattazuma.

I would love to sit here and tell you about all the world class poker that was played at the final table but we all know that’s a crock a shit plus I passed out on the couch during the action. Yep the Dos XX kicked in and the last thing I remember was stretching out a little on the couch and that was all she wrote.

Congrats to BrainMc on the big win last night and his 2nd Mookie title. This guy is on fire right now after finishing 2nd in the Wheatie earlier in the week. Since he’s already had one Mookie profile, this time around we’ll get his Top Ten Favorite Poker Blogs list.

For the Dookie, Mattazuma chose Pot Limit Omahi Hi (Turbo). 17 players showed up for the Omaha on Crack event and I managed to hang in for a little while before bowing out in 11th place.

Congrats to the guys who cashed…ringo6624, Drizz (gee big surprise here), and to the winner…everyone’s favorite radio guy….InstantTragedy. Not only did he take the event down, he also live-blogged it as well.

Thanks again to everyone who made the event(s) last night, I’ll have the updated Mookie Stats posted later today. Remember the stats are just for The Mookie (no Dookie) tournaments in 2007 and only include the players that have cashed at least once.
