Another strong showing at The Mookie last night on Full Tilt with 69 players signing on for the fun. This BBT series has really drawn a lot of interest to the blogger tournaments. Very cool stuff indeed.

The BBT Leaderboard has been updated and after 8 events we’ve played for over $10,000 in prize money and now have nearly $1,000 in the rake prize pool (which we get back at the end of the series).

I’m running ragged these days with the Weekend at Mookie’s looming and was in no shape to live-blog last night. Instead I fired up the girly-chat and had a lot of fun just playing poker and chatting on IM as well as at the poker tables. I was moved at least 6 times to different tables throughout the night which allowed me to talk to a big chunk of the players.

Looking for my 4th straight final table at The Mookie, I played pretty solid through the first hour. I cruised into the points and with some timely re-raises and a few good hands, I was able to pad my stack.
Down to the final two tables and I was lagging behind sitting towards the bottom of the list. Over the past few weeks I have found myself here many times..play well early, limp into the final table with no chips. I didn’t want to follow the same path and decided to get chips and try to win the damn thing or get knocked out trying. I switched gears and begin opening a bunch of pots along with re-popping other openers. My stack started to grow but then I couldn’t win two 60-40’s and I was out in 14th place. Congrats to cmitch on winning the Mook bounty, let me know if you want the cash or blog banner.

No final table but I was pleased in my performance and I’m slowly getting to where I need to be to have a shot at winning one of these damn things.

Congrats to those who did make it to the final table. Eight spots were paid last night and Iggy made an amazing comeback but fell short of the cash on the bubble in 9th place.

Once play was three-handed with Mattazuma, DDionysus and pokerpeaker a chop was discussed for 2nd and 3rd place money. Mattazuma held a 60K to 15K, 15K lead and in the end pokerpeaker and DDionysus decided to chop and give Mattazuma the win. Congrats to Mattazuma on the big win and his first Mookie title.

For the Dookie I had Full Tilt setup a NLHE Heads Up tournament. We ended up with 22 runners and things seemed to go well until people started getting eliminated. When bayne_s knocked me out of our match he was immediately matched up with someone else who had won instead of waiting for the first round to complete. What a shitty and totally unfair format for a heads up MTT.

The TripJax and Don Morris match lasted 30 minutes and by the time Trip was eliminated there were only 4 people left in the tournament. I didn’t watch much of the event but by the time the final match was played IslandBum1 had well over 20K in chips while aebooth37 only had a few thousand.

I’ve fired off an email to Full Tilt and have been talking to them about this. I’ve asked for them to put up a freeroll tournament for everyone who played in The Dookie. We’ll see what they say. Worst case scenario…I’ll setup a freeroll for the 22 players with an $110 prize pool (which equals last night’s pool).

I’m so sorry things were a mess and I promise everyone this will get resolved one way or another. Thanks to everyone who played in either or both of the tournaments last night.

I won’t be around tomorrow since I’ll be teeing it up with Don for a practice round at Lago Vista Golf Club. The Weekend at Mookie’s kicks off tomorrow night and we have our golf tournament on Saturday morning. I’m on a team with Don and JJ…should be a lot of fun and I’m really looking forward to meeting the man who doesn’t know any chip tricks…JJ.
