A big thanks to everyone who made it out to The Mookie last night. We had a great crowd of 57 players for the special 6-handed event. Unfortunately my hosting company had issues last night that prevented me from doing any live-blogging. By the time things cleared up I was deep into both the Mookie and Dookie and decided to forgo putting anything up here.

I don’t think anyone minded since BuddyDank Radio was broadcasting live with hosts BuddyDank and Sean. They had special guests, Smokkee and Blinders along for the ride as well as a late appearance from Love Elf. The show was fantastic as usual. Great job guys…and gal!

With the 6-handed format I thought the tourney would go by much quicker. We lost a bunch of people before the first break and as we made it down to the final table it looked like everything would be over before 11:30 CT. But things slowed down and didn’t complete until our usual 12:30 time frame.

Since there was no live-blog, I don’t have many details of who went out how and all that. Since the tourney was 6-handed the payout structure was a little different with 8 spots making the money. I managed to chip up late and easily coast into the money. Astin wasn’t so fortunate and finished on the bubble.

Even after the bubble popped we still had to lose a couple more before the final table was formed. Mowenumdown (welcome back man) took 8th place and stl_phily finished in 7th. 6th Place – IslandBum1 … Third final table of the year for IslandBum1, he’s cashed 2/3 times at the final table.

5th Place – mookie99 … This was my 10th final table of the year. One of these days maybe I’ll take one of these things down. Congrats to bdidde on winning The Easiest Bounty in Poker. He has selected the $10 Vegas Bet and wants it to be put down on Black.

4th Place – Rake Feeder … Final table #3 for Rake Feeder to go along with cash #2.

3rd Place – Kajagugu … This was Kaja’s 2nd final table of the year making him 2/2 in cashes.

2nd Place – bdidde … The newly named “Blogger Barry Greenstein” has been on fire ever since announcing that all his tournament winnings will go towards a Light the Night charity in mid October which benefits the multiple myeloma and leukemia society. He went heads up against the defending champ, leftylu, behind nearly 2-1 in chips. He gave up a great fight and the matchup lasted quite some time before leftylu took it down.

1st Place – leftylu … Wow, what can you say! Back to back and title #3 for the defending champ. Very impressive run, Congrats!

Once again we had a great turnout for The Dookie. Leftylu chose Razz (Turbo) for the format and 25 players signed up for the pain and misery that is Razz.

Fueled by Crown and Coke, I went deep in this tourney while playing in The Mookie. I swear I’ve cashed or finished ahead in the last 4 poker sessions I’ve played while drinking Crown. Maybe it’s time to shelve the beer.

Four spots paid and after making the final table I didn’t expect to get too far since my chipstack was a little under average. But slowly they started to drop and before I knew it we were on the bubble. My bubble finishes in both The Mookie and Dookie are well documented. Hell I just bubbled the Dookie two weeks ago! It looked like I was going to add another one to my resume when I lost a huge pot and was left with crumbs. But Razz is a sick game and after a suckout here and there I was back in the mix.

The mysterious newcomer cdogg215 ended up being the unfortunate bubble boy. Here were the money finishers:

Congrats to NumbBono on the win and thanks again to everyone who made it out to one or both of the tournaments. We’ll go back to a full ring for next week’s Mookie but I’ll probably throw a 6-handed event in every now and then. Let me know what you think about that.
