Lazy Weekend
I’m back behind my monitors at the ol’ workplace and feeling a little like a lazy bum. Instead of being somewhat productive this weekend, I watch way too much TV and became one with the couch.
Be careful what you let your kids watch on TV. During my couch potato mode I saw a few minutes of some goofy show called Yo Gabba Gabba. Who greenlights some of these kid shows?? The host looks likes a fruity J.J. off of Good Times while one of the characters could double as a female pleasure toy. Crazy stuff.
I did manage to see the sun on Saturday afternoon when I made the trip over to Rocco’s for his homegame. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it two straight wins as I kept getting run down by Ace-rag. Uggh poker.
Thanks to the meds my doc gave me for my neck pain, I now have some terrible heartburn/indigestion. I couldn’t sleep one night so I fired up Full Tilt and played some 25NL 6-max for the first time in months. It was good to see nothing has changed as I was able to scoop up 4+ buyins. Nothing huge, but not bad for a couple of hours.
One thing I failed to follow up last week was The Dookie changes. Being the lazy busy guy that I am, I’ve been looking to get a little time back here and there. In the old days, the Dookie was a rotation of many games determined by the previous week’s Mookie winner. There was some work involved with emailing the winner and then Full Tilt each week to get the tournament setup. That changed when I made it a PLO each week.
I’ve gotten emails and IMs from people asking if I was ever gonna change the format back to what it was. Not wanting to go back to dealing with emailing Full Tilt each week, etc. I looked for a new host and NumbBono volunteered.
The Dookie format changes this week and Numb will be taking care of everything. You can find out about the new changes here. The Dookie will still run on Wednesday nights at the usual time although the buy-in will drop back to the original $5.50. I’ll try to whip a banner for it sometime this week. A big thanks to NumbBono for helping out.
