Thanks to all 38 of you who showed up to play in The Mookie last night. Tommy2Tone (Prohesy) was nice enough to take over the live blogging and I was able to sit back and play while chatting it up with everyone. He did a great job and almost won the thing. I made another final table (two if you count the 2nd Chance tourney) but was quickly shown the rail in 9th place. I really need to work on the later stages of my MTT game.

Congrats to those who finished in the money (Waffles, NumbBono, willwonka) and to bdidde for besting Tommy heads up and taking down his first official Mookie title (he 3-way chopped first back in April, but they played it out for title rights). I’ll have his profile up here later today or tomorrow morning.

Don’t forget next week we will be taking a break and will return on January 3rd, when bdidde will defend his title.

We had a good turnout for the Pot Limit Hold Em (Turbo) 2nd Chance tournament including an appearance by the doctor AKA supermodel AKA MTT master…Iakaris. He was on the list of peeps I really miss seeing at these tourneys. Now if I can just get drewspop to show up one Wednesday.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen one person hit so many straights in one tournament as smokkee did last night. He was a one man wrecking crew and ended up on top followed by chipperdh and Don Morris. Congrats !

Thanks again to everyone who has played in The Mookie events over the past year. It’s a blast hosting and playing in them and I hope we can continue to keep them going over the next year.
