Last night I found myself typing and uttering those words uttering right after taking a kick to my nads compliments of Bayne.  I was thinking of shortening F The Mookie to FTM but evidently there are other more well known phrases associated with that acroynym.

With only 3 chances left to claim a Mookie title, I was eager to play last night.  I actually snuck in some table time over the last week and felt pretty decent about how I was playing.  After taking down a couple small pots, I gifted nearly half my stack to Scottc25 when he called a flop bet with Ace high, caught on the turn and didn’t believe that I had trips on the river.  I had thought the poker gods had pity on me when I was dealt AA a few hands later.  Only Bayne came along for the ride and after Queen high flop we got all the chips in.  His AQo was way behind but this is Bayne we’re talking about so he was really an 83% favorite.  It always happens on the river though it seems and not the turn.  Damn bitch on the river.  Out in 56th.

Now I’m left with only two shots and those come on Christmas eve and New Year’s eve.  I’d like to think those will be my chances since the crowd should be next to nothing in size.  But then I think about how bad I really am.  It’s pathetic really, how the hell can I play a ghey tourney like this nearly 150 times and not win one freakin’ time??  At this point I’m fairly confident I could setup an account on Full Tilt for my 3 year old and she’d win one before I do.  You’d think the consolation prize would be that Hoyazo hasn’t won one yet either but at this point I find myself rooting just as hard for him to win as well.  Last night we talked about upping the prop bet to $10,000 next year.  Hell at this point it could be a $1 million and it wouldn’t help.  Where has Surflexus been these days?  I need to take some “How To Win A Mookie” classes.

After hitting the rail I stuck around and waited for The Dookie while listening to BuddyDank Radio.  My iPhone screwed up over the weekend and a bunch of apps stopped working including Twitterific.  This was a blessing in disguise as I wasn’t able to follow the Vegas action on Twitter.  I was bummed I couldn’t make the Vegas trip yet again but it wasn’t until I started reading trip reports and listening to all the fun tales on BDR that it really sunk in.

Eventually The Dookie started and it was another early tourney exit for me.  I turned my attention back to The Mookie and eventually the final table was formed.
