Wow, it’s almost been a week since my last post. Life has consisted of diapers, doctor’s visits, diapers, feedings, cooking, cleaning, diapers and even more diapers. There hasn’t been much time for poker although I manage to get in a few hands late at night or early in the morning when the house is quiet.

I had to take Mrs. Mookie to get a CAT scan since they think she may have a hernia. No fun. We’ll get the results in the next day or two. Amelia is doing great and actually sleeps almost 4 hours at a time in between feedings at night.

On the poker front, I got kicked square in the jimmy last night at the cash tables. I actually played pretty well but took some tough, tough beats. The highlight of the night was getting into a blind vs. blind battle against the table maniac. He raised to $3 and I decided to play my QQ a little differently. Since he was running around a 62/20 I decided to forgo the formalities of a standard re-raise and just shoved my entire $50 into the middle. He snap-called me and showed down the mighty A9o. Wheeeee! His 9s was the nuts when the board four flushed me. You gotta love getting that kind of action though…even if he was a hit and run artist.

Tonight I’ll make my return to the BBT3 at The Mookie on Full Tilt. It’s pretty sad that I’ve only been able to make one event so far, but understandable given the circumstances. Hopefully I’ll be able to show up to a few more soon. Congrats to the winners so far and to those sitting a top the leaderboard.

Twoblackaces has the early lead for player of the month and is also tonight’s defending champ. I’ll have his Champion Profile up here later today.

The tourney kicks off at the usual time…9:00PM CT. We’ll be playing with single stacks again and the password is vegas1.

Pot Limit Omaha (Turbo) will be on tap again at The Dookie at 10:30PM CT. I wasn’t able to get with Full Tilt and have them correct the buy-in to $11 so we’ll be playing for $5.50 again this week. Same password…vegas1.
