Last night was everyone’s latest shot at grabbing a seat for the Battle of the Blogger Tournaments 2 TOC. A strong turnout of 112 players showed up for The Mookie including the defending champ dnasty13.

I spent much of the day playing the role of Mr. Mom making the famous Kraft Mookie Mac ‘n Cheese and Nestle Mookie Chocolate Chip cookies.  I have mad cooking skillz…Astin ain’t got nothing on me.  After the last batch of cookies came out of the oven, Mookie Crocker was ready for some poker.

The boys at BuddyDank Radio were broadcasting live and had special guests MiamiDon, Chad and Carmen on the air. Great show as usual.

Looking to shed my weak-tight tendencies that have me calling myself Meekie, I tried to switch things up.  I didn’t catch many cards and after a couple of moves didn’t pan out, I limped into the first break on fumes. A few hands into the next hour I went busto at the hands of TheCloserX5.

Julkeus was the bubble boy leaving the final 18 players in the money. Of course 10th-18th place finishers lose or make something like 35 cents. Crazy payout structure.

One by one players fell by the wayside leaving the final 9 at the final table.

9th Place – JoeMav … A regular in RoccoBoxer’s homegame making his 3rd final table of the year.

8th Place – irongirl01 … Ever since her return to Full Tilt she’s been a regular at The Mookie final table. IG took a tough beat (again) to keep her from going deeper.

7th Place – Jestocost … Went to the final table as the chipleader but lost a few big pots in early FT action.

6th Place – UnTiltable15 … Another final table for the newcomer. His 99 ran into roguejo’s KK to end his run.

5th Place – pushmonkey72 … Final table #5 for the monkey who likes to push, push, push.

4th Place – lightning36 … This was the 6th final table for lightning. He lost a 60/40 vs. Astin to keep him from another title.

3rd Place – roguejo … This first timer kept the tradition of newbies going deep. He managed to run his stack up to 236K only to flop a set against Mike Maloney’s flopped straight.

2nd Place – Astin … Heads up Astin held 64K to Mike Maloney’s 267K. He was able to double up but then went card dead finishing 2nd…again. It’s just a matter a time before he grabs a win and TOC seat with the way he’s playing.

1st Place – Mike_Maloney … This was the 6th final table of the year for Mike to go along with title #2. More importantly Mike wins a seat at the BBT2 TOC. Congrats!

Turbo Razz…instant pain…was the format for The Dookie and a smaller crowd of 19 played.

Since I was bounced early out of the Mookie I was able to pay much more attention to the Dookie. I managed to stay alive even though I couldn’t beat Waffles in a hand and eventually made the final table.

With the stakes climbing high, I managed to finally win a hand against Waffles with him holding A253. I went perfect, perfect while he double bricked giving me a nice pot and leaving him crippled.

Unfortunately I couldn’t use those chips to propel me into the money. I bowed out in 5th while greenpolo888 bubbled in 4th. Here were the final three money finishers:
