A Whole Lotta Nothing
I followed Iak’s lead and didn’t post yesterday, although not because I’m burned out or think poker blogs are dying. Instead it was because I was too busy with work and other things. Damn work…they expect you to really work sometimes. Check out Klopzi’s post from yesterday about work and life. Good stuff.
We had a good weekend…Big O tourney on Friday that lasted a lot longer than I expected. It didn’t finish up until nearly 2AM and we had to get up early on Saturday for 9AM soccer matches. The Blue Sharks won again, 4-3, and I was real proud of the kids including Mook Jr. who made three saves in the last 5 minutes of the match. We have practice tonight and will be working on defense and offsides. We lost at least three or four easy scoring opportunities because we were offsides.
I am really starting to enjoy coaching again. Mrs. Mookie had suggested that I coach again and at first I didn’t want to do it. She said I needed to do something other than play, think and write about poker. As always the woman was right
My son is real happy that I’m his coach and this has gotten us away from the XBox and poker table a little for some quality time together.
Sunday I watched a little football and I got lucky, lucky, lucky again and won my fantasy football game against Hoy. Somehow I’m 3-0, but that should change this upcoming weekend since three of my starters have a bye.

I finally used a one of my tokens on Full Tilt the other night but missed the money and finished 90th out of 450something. Congrats to Iak for making another final table and a nice score over the weekend. I was able to rail a co-worker that plays in The Mookie – Dylan (chilldyl2002 on Stars and blipbloop on FT) last night in the 13K. He chopped 1st/2nd for a cool $3,400. Very nice.
Speaking of The Mookie…tomorrow night Iak will be defending his title. Full Tilt has posted the tournament so you can start signing up now. They also setup the 2nd Chance tournament with a couple of small changes. It will start at 10:30PM CT (30 minutes later than last week) and it is a NLHE Turbo tourney this week.

It looks like Eric (Bone Daddy) will be coming to Texas and stopping by the Big O on Friday, October 20th. Remember the Big O is always open to any bloggers…even Waffles…so if you ever find yourself in Austin be sure to let us know. I leave you with a home video of Iak as a youngster…

Ike’s got sum skills.
Hey mookie -
Thanks for the pimp.
Too.damn.funny.
The coaching thing is a lot of fun, for sure. I am always behind on most of my blog reading, and my posts are pretty lame lately, but this time in their lives only happens once. Enjoy.
Damn, Iak can doctor, play poker, he’s got the looks, and now I see he’s got the moves too.
How unfair!
Chris, I totally agree…gotta enjoy time with them while they still like us
Iak is truly a jack of all trades. I don’t think there is anything he can’t do. Dance on my friend.
